We currently live in Lausanne, Switzerland (click here to see pictures of our adventures in this region). Chris is working as a post-doctoral fellow (i.e., researcher) at the business school of the University of Lausanne. You can see his professional homepage here. Heather is working as a biologist in the Brain Mind Institue of the Ecole Polytechnique Féderale de Lausanne (i.e., the federal technical university of Lausanne).
• Interests
We both enjoy travelling and doing outdoor sports, which in the summer includes hiking and all kinds of biking (mountain biking, road biking, and bike touring), and in the winter includes cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowboarding.
Heather's other interests include modular origami, music (she plays the piano, bagpipes, and fiddle), and trainspotting.
Chris' other interests include watching professional sports (especially NFL football and cycling) and making web-pages like this one.
• History
Heather grew up in South Harbor, which is near Dingwall on Cape Breton Island, in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Chris grew up near Colchester in England, but has also lived in the states of Illinois, Maine, and Washington in the USA, and in Australia.
We met while we were both gradaute students at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
